Abstract
This research project focuses on the development of a computerized transport management information system for Akwa Ibom Transport Company, Uyo.
The system aims to automate the manual method of keeping transportation information, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. The proposed system will enable the management to easily capture and store transportation information in a database, generate reports, and accurately compute transportation bills. The system was developed using Visual BASIC 6.0 programming language.
The study's objectives include designing a workable automated transportation system software, creating a system for recording transportation records, designing a system for accurate computation of transportation bills, and designing a system for obtaining reports of transportation records.
This research project is significant because it will improve the efficiency of transportation management, reduce errors, and enhance decision-making.
